a few days ago i noticed new prompt in gemini app where it can create music. and so.. i asked it to create for me "90-s house"..

the song went "Feel the rush now" and sounded somewhat 90-s house..

a few days later, well, today, i was even more nostalgic and asked it to create "90-s acid trance" for me..

the song went "Feel the rush now" and sounded somewhat barely different from the "90-s house"

i then told it not to use any singing.. it made a new track..

"Feeeeel the rush now" ...

then i specifically said "no signing, acid trance has no signing".

"Feeeeel the rush now" ...

so then i asked "how is this no signing"? and went more broad "acid trance"..

"Feeel the rush now" ...

this is where i stopped. so much for the AI music.. or is it just Gemini? i don't pay for AI, and i only use Gemini cause it has snaked its way into both my samsung galaxies and my favorite browser and is now an icon in my windows hidden icons tray ..

It all sounds very anti climatic Slash... I personally haven't found any use for AI other than boot strapping code. Music generation would be the last thing I would ask it.. Kudos for attempting!!

coding is 1 thing i haven't tried AI for... it did help me figure out some monumentally useful stuff in linux.. that i must admit. but probably only cause it can look up stuff online and summarize a lot of info in several lines..

if anyone's interested, i have tried once more.. it is literally same fail, just with a different lyrics and music in general. i've even uploaded those to youtube for easy embedding here. check em out.. i think they sound more or less the same.. like some kind of weird pop thang..

here;s 90s acid house example

and here's 90s acid trance example

there was also a ton of text accompanying the 1st sound, i think it was proud of the creation.. check it out. sounds good in theory..

Caption: This track is a quintessential slice of 90s Acid House, characterized by its high-energy, rave-centric sound. The foundation is a relentless four-on-the-floor beat from a Roland TR-909 drum machine, featuring a powerful kick drum that hits on every quarter note, driving the entire track forward. Layered on top are crisp 909 open hi-hats on the off-beats and a snappy snare with a splash of reverb on beats 2 and 4. The defining element of the genre is a squelchy, hypnotic bassline from a Roland TB-303 synthesizer; this bassline plays a repetitive, syncopated minor-key pattern with its filter cutoff and resonance parameters being constantly modulated to create a liquid, swirling texture. Filling out the harmonic space are wide, euphoric synth pads—emulating a Korg M1 organ sound—playing bright major chords that are aggressively side-chained to the kick drum, creating the signature 'pumping' effect. The vocal is a gritty male baritone with a distinct London accent, delivered with high projection and soaked in heavy reverb and a prominent stereo delay that causes phrases to echo and cascade. As a classic rave touch, chopped-up, high-pitched vocal samples from the main take are scattered throughout as rhythmic ad-libs. During the hook, the lead vocal is doubled with additional harmonizing layers to create a massive, communal anthem feel, while the main vocal maintains a slight vocal fry on the end of phrases.

They both sound uttterly shite and not evocative of any time frame of house music. They're just vocalised slop.  :shoot2:
