I am using the lastest versions of ffmpeg + youtube-dl.
Do these segments really get skipped? I saw that the current version of ffmpegs shows you every .ts-file in an information text. That also confused me. But I am watching via the recorded files flawless.

i am recording it elsewhere, but after your recommendation updated ffmpeg and yes, now i see each segment url in youtube-dl and it's not skipping anymore. thanks!

i am incomplete on both main live stream and resistance 1. thought i'd grab it from source, but am recording resistance from youtube now.. if anyone is interested:

i always find these tasks that take so much of my time..

now i am trying to download the initial 1000 segments from Resistance Megastructure Josh Wink playing. i have the m3u8 file. trying to feed it to ffmpeg. i do this

ffmpeg -i 1.m3u8 -c copy 1.ts

and instead of being a good boy and going over proper playlist starting with segment 0 (that is listed in there), it just jumps to the end and only goes over segments 1129-1131, those are the last 3 in the playlist file. i do not understand why.. tried making timestamp in m3u8 file smaller, didn't help..

anyone has ideas? trying to get full Josh Wink.. also i think in the middle of pan-pot i lost like 10 minutes..

i think i got it..

youtube-dl -g URL

to get the playlist m3u8 URL, then

youtube-dl --hls-prefer-native PLAYLIST_URL

downloading 5GB video now, probably from the start.. i should do the same for main stream..
