Who is playing some good trance? I still take John 00 show form month to month, he has excellent choice of music and i always love hearing the guest mix.

Say, here in argentina there are a lot of people that claim to listen to 'electronic music', but what they realy listen to is that so called 'trance'. They do not know who Hernan Cattaneo is, for instance. Or Marcelo Vasami, Fernando Ferreyra... Three argentinian musicians at their finest.-
That people call trance 'the best' and think it's the only electronic music that exists. Used to train in a gym that would play that david getta nonsense all day. Disgusting!
I don't enjoy it at all, and hearing from Paul van Dyk recongnizing it is cheerful :-D

It just depends on who you ask :) There is much shit but there are also very good productions, but I agree that it is getting pretty commercial. Armin is a very good DJ but there are others as good or even better. Just check out ASOT and once in a while there are some real gems to be heard.

I agree too. Trance was great, listened to my first PvD-Set around 2000, GREAT stuff. But what you get nowadays sold as "trance" is commercial electronic dance "music" for the masses without any soul. Most of the stuff, not everything, but most. I cant identify with it any more. Although I loved it by heart for a long time. :'-(

I agree. I dig stuff pre-2000. I actually started on trance in the 90's and moved towards house/progressive over the years. Seems what people call trance anymore is stuff that would get bumped in a club by Paris Hilton or Pauly D. :thumbsup:
