Set in the sub-zero centre of Old Montreal, some of the biggest stars in underground electronic music will hit Canada's dance music capital for Igloofest 2012 – one of the most exciting and unique music events in the world. This year around 67,000 ravers will turn out in their best winter gear to listen to the likes of Sébastien Léger, Green Velvet, Tiga and Tiefschwarz against a backdrop of ice and steel.

This year YOU could be there, as Bench are offering one DJ an unforgettable experience. One lucky winner will win the chance to play at Igloofest 2012 and Bench will cover their return flights and accommodation in Montreal. If that wasn’t enough, the winner will also win a shopping spree worth CAD$1000 in the Bench Montreal store and a 3-day VIP pass to the festival!

How to Enter:

The eclectic line-up at Igloofest covers everything from house to techno, dubstep to hip hop. Your mix should reflect the style of music you prefer to play and should be targeted to a large audience.

Upload a mix of no more than 30 minutes to Mixcloud
Title the mix ‘Bench Igloofest Competition’
Tag your mix ‘Bench Igloofest Competition’. If you fail to tag it correctly, your mix may be missed

Judging:

Entrants will be judged on factors including (but not limited to) number of plays, favorites, positive feedback, tune selection, originality and technical ability. Mixes must gain over 100 plays be considered for the shortlist. We are looking for DJs who show commitment and are able to use the tools available on Mixcloud and across the web to promote themselves effectively. The final decision will be made by Bench, Igloofest and Mixcloud.
