(we don;t really call it that anymore, and raves were an thing in the open fields in nature mostly too).
Best "rave" in my local scene was club hopping staring Thursday ending Monday non stop dancing, socializing, drugs, having fun, meeting new friends and sex fiends, new drugs etc etc etc... Great music of course. Best music all around local scene.
It was just hopping through 6 clubs from open till close from Thursday night until it is 4-5 am Monday morning .... It was a marathons we did (on drugs
) for about 3-4 years (2004-2008) before becoming burdened by the responsibilities of adult life.

The only person I'm really scared of
is myself..
That bitch is crazy.

First rave was a weekly at Buzz in 96, I was blown away. I'll never forget it. Best might have been in Cleveland, OH in 97, it was amazing, I think Dieselboy was there, but not sure.

The Brass Monkey, and I have a Dream parties back in the day!!!

Almost any event I ever went to at The Que Club (Birmingham, UK). Impossible to pick an individual night really.
I've been clubbing since the mid 90's. But nothing beats that place!
A huge sound system, custom lighting and decor for each event, in what had been a Methodist Church!
Utterly mental experience. The place was massive, beyond imagination. There were endless corridors to get lost in whilst under the influence.

Wow, now i'm showing my age....
Aucorners and I headed to Hernan Cattaneo about 10 years ago, it was the anniversary of the night out just recently. TBC club, i think..... Magic night! Hernan was up for a party, the crowd was too, a night never to forget.
There have been many great nights had!

Yep
I also revived an old thread about the "Que" and added some links to photos and videos etc. for those who want to reminisce a bit more.
But it seems to be just me right now

Best was my first big GOA garty back in 1995 next to my rural hometown. Was just amazing to see thousands of people from all around the world dancing in a wooden place were I used to have barbecue in summer times
This party was insane ! The best was that there were many friends of mine and people I knew because I lived there.
When I arrived, hundreds of policemen were hanging around because the party was not allowed. That was quite usual for goa parties in the beginning of techno/trance. There was further huge deco and blacklight arts and it was big fun to dance into the rising sun .... What you think in terms of "multimedia" could first be seen on goa parties.
German spiritzone label hosted the party (dj antaro) https://www.discogs.com/label/Spirit+Zone+Recordings which was very massive at that time.

Hey, @Bluemax. Pardon the digression from the main topic, but, are you from Goa?

The Church was mental .. I remember on August bank holiday Monday morning...an after party after 10/12 hours of mentalness at Sundissential.

Tenaglia at Space in Ibiza in the late 90s when Space was tiny (raised DJ box with a step up to the left I remember) When he dropped BT - fibonacci sequence I was finished.. Sasha came on later that morning and killed any resilience I had left inside me, great times.

Never been to one, what is a Rave ?

Having looked at the Raves of 2024.. they're far cry from (show boaters and phones out) the likes of Thunderdome in the 90s and all the UK ones back in the 90s. Take me back any time.
