I heard about this thing too, its going crazy.
some people even say that bluetack blocked utorrent and utorrent dht system, so any1 adding bluetacks blocklist to peerguardian will not connect 2 utorrent.

yeah, for a day or two i couldn't access utorrent.com, but then later i realized it was the peer guardian that didn't let me go there... definitely sucks butt...

These rumors are actually very old - they simply do not die.

They started one year ago and nobody has proven anything up to now.

And peerguardian with the bluetack blocklists is actually a piece of shit - it doesn't help against RIAA and the like, only that people can't connect to each other (blocklists are RIAA's little helper so to say as they slow down or hamper the distribution of files)...

so basically utorrent has become the official bittorrent client... but i'd wait on this...

WARNING: This Beta client does not currently pick up running torrents from previous versions

it looks awesome cause it's utorrent without any visual modifications... =)

anyways, don't switch until it starts picking up the old torrents you're seeding currently... i personally don't want to deal with 300 of them...

There is no difference in download speeds with or without utorrent, pg and bluetack, but when I check my router log, smurfs & sysfins flood the router when im not using pg&bt.

I guess they cant control utorrent cus the ip doesnt show what client ur using, so ill stick to it.

In the mean time im trying to figure out how to get pg use bt lists properly on the mac os x im dual booting with xp on my thinkpad. reallly hard especially that i never used a mac b4 and b4 I go to ibiza this thursday.

You probably see the dht: traffic. Simply switch off DHT and you do not need PG/bluetack....

Your right, I've formatted windows many times and had to restart .torrent files before. It gets tiresome after a while

Thanx Ojay

I rarely use dht, only when there isn't a big swarm, however there r some peers who connect through the tracker (not in TM) update the tracker as having 100% of the torrent downloaded, but seed or leech nothing.

thats why i use pg, i dont care about the RIAA.
