RADIO AND TRACKER CLOCK

drumkode user on May 22nd, 2008 / post 25573
Why are the radio and tracker clocks behind like 50 minutes!?!?

Actually it's 10 minute ahead. If you check the radio site you can see the radio clock in the upper-right corner. Some lines lower the page mentions that all times are GMT, so imho it's ok (check this for the current GMT time). I'll correct that 10 minutes ahead thing as soon as no scheduled shows will air.

ghm... see, this is all very very strange... after all we're seeing, that our network is not actually in GMT00, but one hour ahead, which is GMT01, right.... but... this resource Viktor brought up shows, that "since UK has daylight savings as well, and originally UK is GMT00, still the time is one hour ahead in UK now, to comply with the savings stuff, so it appears to be, that whole GMT thing shifts, according to UK daytime shifts"... does anyone follow me here? that's what the website there says... =) it says, UK is not GMT right now, but GMT00 right now is GMT01, which is what UK is now... anyways, i've thought about it, and i need opinions... about radio... should we also follow the gmt stuff and shift server's time one hour ahead and back? i used to do it before manually - nothing but problems.. now.... well.... basically if this stuff is left as is, if will be GMT00 by the end of october... and then again in gmt00 means, all shows will always air at gmt00, but then all countries will be shifting back and forth compared to the radio... anyways... let me be off here...

That's what caused the confusion, I've been announcing it by the Portuguese time, which is GMT but spring and summer we do have daylight savings, and skip one hour forward... I think the radio's time should be the time where the radio is based :) Anyway, thanks for giving your attention to this.
