What about letting your community vote about this rule on a neutral platform? Whether they support permanent or temporal ban ? Do you have the courage to do it ?

no, i don't have courage for that..
i'm afraid of dj balthazar winning the poll again...
i can't take one more of those... not just yet... sorry...

Yeah i get it. Wish you all the best in the future.

just making sure...
no, i wasn't scared.
i hope you do see that as well...

i was just wondering, what is a "neutral platform", what did you mean by that? run a poll for tribalmixes, but do it on some other website? it's just... well... if you have had been here for longer than those 4 months of yours, you'd know, that the biggest issues were decided sometimes by the whole community through the main-page-polls, and those decisions were brought to life most of the times. but when mpp was utilized for means of idc08, and dj balthazar started winning, such means of highly biased answer-finding were pronounced unfit for our community. see, it's just not a good time for revolutions now.. =)

ps. and of course i must mention the resource - click here to see about 80 pools that were at some point on the index page of tribalmixes.com. as it is all to show my full respect to you, that i'm not backing out, no, no, no...
madesstar house addict on April 26th, 2008 / post 25065
Sorry but i don't see any problem with the poll. This is not about IDC08 or TB t-shirts. I hope you see the difference.

And yeah, you understood the neutral platform correctly.

Edit: i didn't upload a re-broadcast. I sent a message to admin with a request to doublecheck.

ghm... is it a hint? for me? for admin? about what? i like harry potter and LOTR, but i don't like to solve riddles...

ps. i really don't see how an "independent platform poll" could be better than a locally processed poll, unless you're trying to say that we'd be cheating and altering the results...

pps.. before i've thought i was talking to an adult. now i don't think that way. no offense, though.. how old are you, honestly?
madesstar house addict on April 26th, 2008 / post 25077
26. I sent the message to the admin (viktor1983) who deleted my torrent because he knows why he did it. Is something wrong about that? Btw he didn't respond me yet but im patient.

And i honestly don't know what made you think im not an adult. Is it the neutral platform? Does it insult you?

i thought 22-24. nothing insults me but the things i've mentioned a few posts earlier. authorities being questioned is a normal way of things. same thing, the issue between you and site's admin is so far between you and him only. unless one of the sides specially asks me to attend, i really don't care what's going on, i do trust my mods and admins 100%.

as for neutral platform poll, not that i'm going or not going to do so, just wondering, how does it go? i put a notice "everyone go this link and vote, please"? or i get a special piece of code to put on my page? or what? because in first case, and believe me, i know this community very well, i can predict the way things will go with 85% probability, only 10-15% of the everyday visitors (say, 2.5-3k people) will follow the outside-link to vote, those devoted ones, or simply polite users will do. we will not get 2-3k answers on such a poll, but 200-300 tops. and the info/link i posted above about polls was to show you, that i have personally never run away from such polls, but more likely chased users to take part in them, and that can be proven by 80 polls we've had so far...
madesstar house addict on April 26th, 2008 / post 25080
I give up. I think it has no sense to continue any sort of debate about the poll, nor about the rules you won't change.  Because if you look for reasons why not do it, you will find them. The same applies for the opposite. And at the end, there is only you to decide.

I still like this site due to the music it offers, so if you, or viktor would be so kind to give me a chance to prove i did not upload a rebroadcast, that would be sufficient for me to stay active here. At least until i will upload a real re-broadcast and loose the uploads privileges once again.
slash ProDanceCulture on April 26th, 2008 / post 25081
why but we need fighters in out troops, don't give up just yet! hehe... =)

anyways, i'll put this topic onto control panel now, expecting possible few more hundred people to take it to their attention, we'll see how it goes, but for now i can say that a discussion of 'second chance' thing has already started in staff forum, maybe some good will come out there. and again, it is that time of the year, when we celebrate 05-05-05 as the starting point, the birthday, so in a week or so alot of magical things will be happening, as it is the third anniversary coming...
slash ProDanceCulture on April 26th, 2008 / post 25082
my fellow tribalmixes community members, here's another chance for us all to try and settle down the rules on uploading rights revocations, as it is right now 'a power user whose torrent gets removed by staff loses uploading rights for ever', with a possible ease of 'forever' part and switching it by something like 'for a specified period of time', which could be 1 month for uploading a rebroadcast, then it could be 3 months no uploads for posting a double-torrent, and still a complete loss of privileges in case of illegal/commercial uploads, so more thought needs to be given here, as well as more of your opinions, more of your success or failure stories - we have many of each kind, wake up, people (c) pepsi... it's spring time!!!

if it's your first time reading this topic, you can go back to the beginning here and read all posts, or just read on from here, and post your thoughts and ideas on how we can all benefit from changing the uploading rules...

what do you want to change in the torrent uploading rules and permissions???
(user gone) on April 26th, 2008 / post 25083
i think in this case a person when he mistake can be awarded not bannede him and not can upload again!!banned a person when abusse and don`t understand not when he put a new mix and the upload are the new guy!!this think happens me!!!and y want to upload again!!   can we???pls!

Evening Gents,

1st of all id like to state after reading this whole topic as slash recommended.......i don't see any harsh punishments at all.........even though moemen was truely a great uploader but yet think about it like this as all of you know quite well that the uploader team rules are clearly stated in the FAQ its not slash fault if the uploaders dont follow these rules....if slash didnt do anything about uploaders breaking the rules then whats the point of uploader team rules? then every uploader will upload what ever he wants when ever he wants this will cause duplicate torrents & some other problems......According to a certain person who said that this site is loosing respect? for what for a person who broke the rules? and slash delt with it your wrong mate....keep it up slash.

As for moemen he is truley a great uploader like abdo said so im gonna agree with abdo on this one that half a year punishment is kinda harsh he has been uploading alot of torrents and he has been a great support for tribal im sure of that.

Cheers.

Hmm. maybe let the pwr user have a prohbation period like a month. But if this is done, the uploads will have to be monitored more and more closely. The way it is now is fine with me.  :-D
Karamanilightning Auditer on April 26th, 2008 / post 25086
why dont u make something like uploader Trial rank..............like Bocaccio said 1-2 months i think should be ok that way u make sure they wont do anything stupid..........it might be a tough job for mods cause they have to keep an eye on them but hey .......its a solution

hehe.. you're a little too late on discussion, but that's the point - getting as many people to see this as possible, so some things might sound out of thin air, but we're now talking more about making it easier for power users in general to upload torrents here. moemen has been dealt with a few weeks ago, and be sure, he's getting back to uploader status in a week or so, when his month-long probation off-duty is finished. as for power users, who are no 'uploader's in status, but are able to upload torrents, right now any 1 signle mistake of theirs (not dealt with by them) resulting in removal of a torrent also stops them from uploading in future, that is why we're discussing now if we should change this strong rule into a weaker and perhaps a wiser one, so as so temporarily stop the rights, and return them to the deserving ones after a month or few months of revocation...

as for "trial uploader rank" - we have it right now as it is the - power user rank. being a power user and keeping your actions within the rules, will no matter what upgrade your status to uploader after you have 30-40 torrents online, so basically as soon as one turns power user (4weeks, 25gb+), they are automatically entered into the uploader trials, if they wish to commence into that process, and start uploading torrents.
