I really don't understand why you do this. I can't stop you from recording streams and uploading it, but:
"I record this show exclusively for www.tribalmixes.com. If you feel like sharing this file elsewhere, please leave tags intact and give credit to Tribalmixes and the original uploader..."
The only credit you get is taking someone else's work and trying to pass it off as your own effort. You have no idea of the amount of work that goes into keeping this stream free. (It's a lot more than copy+paste). I can't stop you from ripping/uploading the stream, but for fuck's sake, GIVE CREDIT TO FRISKYRADIO, not to Tribalmixes and definitely not to the person who wrote that arrogant statement! |

he gave friskyradio credit, he said he recorded it for TM, because he did.
What is the problem? |

there's a link to our infopage of frisky radio, there's a link to frisky radio and to frisky's facebook page. frisky is credited in torrent title, and several times on the details page. what else do you want? all dj names cannot fit into the title, and as you might have noticed, there're boxes with info on djs that are in our database, also properly linked to their homepages and social resources. we give as much credit as we can or see fit, and if you don't see praises to yourself in this torrent's description, maybe it's because noone knows you?
frisky is not free. it sells subscriptions. there's virtually no effort in selling those subscriptions. but we find time to record the low quality stream and share the recording so that others could download it and listen to it, listen to the show that you've put lots of effort in. carrying on the word about the show, promoting it among others EDM lovers, in hopes that if they like something, they might tune in to the live broadcast next time on the radio. we do it for those who work and has no time to tune in today, but they'll have time to find and download it tomorrow, and for those who cannot pay monthly fees to download mixes from the paid-for sources like frisky radio, that is why we do it, which should answer your first question. |

You guys are missing a rather obvious point here...
The ONLY issue is:
"If you feel like sharing this file elsewhere, please leave tags intact and give credit to Tribalmixes and the original uploader."
People should upload to share music, not to get credit.
(Or, at least give me credit for the tracklisting you copy & pasted from my post on TMB and/or Mixriot! lol, j/k ).
noone is missing anything. i will just summarize my shouts in the shoutbox here:
we provide mp3s "as is" ie we do not edit id-tags or anything inside mp3s, we record them them and share them the way they came from frisky radio's stream (or any other radio, or even any other website, for that case, you might find lots of torrents that have "that website" in their .torrent-name or .mp3-names, we do omit "other websites" in displayed titles; that, i hope, is ok?)
most of the time original radio, original site or djs, and producers and whoever else, are credited via torrent's title or its details. again, one must be an idiot not to figure out where the mp3s come from, after seeing the title...
we do not enforce anything, we're just asking in torrent's details to be nice and to mention tribalmixes as the original source for the recording. we're not taking any credit, and of course we don't need it. but we would like others to know where to get these free recordings next time. these days MOST of the sites meddle with the mp3s, up-encode them to have more money for downloads.. we do not do ANYTHING to the mp3s, we provide "true recordings" as was mentioned, and we are here to bring the best sound possible with the existing means, and yes, we're proud of it, and yes, others deserve to know what resources are still true to the music, people deserve to know how to find the proper mp3s. most of the downloaders do not look into the torrent details, but those who do, might be glad to see a known name as the ripper, name they can trust..
honestly, try to write something like "you cannot re-share this mp3 or any parts of the description anywhere" on your tmb torrents. i guarantee, those torrents will never be re-shared on tribalmixes. why? cause we respect the original uploader's will and wish. again, djs, fjs, radios - all of those have their credit, whatever.. we do not ask for anything we do not already do ourselves. doing this month after month, year after year, i've been at it for over 6 years already, some people can say "decades".. why? for what???? for an occasional "thank you" from a user??? how much time spent on all those recordings, on sharing them, finding tracklists and providing those as well??? yes, it's a hobby, but it's nice to read some appreciation comments once in a while. who is "haroun omar"? i do not know. i deal with 100s of djs on daily basis. if dj wants people to reach out, he/she must be socializing, writing "you like this - get some more here @ www.etc" or similar comments, cause we cannot track everyone and everything, we cannot provide resources for every motherfucking last one of them. djs have to reach out to their listeners, listeners have to find their djs. but if both djs and listeners leave the "reaching out" part to the middle man (uploader) - there might never be any contact... we are here showcasing and promoting the work of djs to the populace. doing it for free. why can't some djs appreciate this fact?????
this is going nowhere... i am just getting angrier... sorry, if i offended someone.. feel free to seek vengeance, thou. :) |

Friskyradio's Frisky Loves series:
The History: It all began with Argentina. Back in 2005, we had an idea: Why not do a show solely on Argentina, where some of the most passionate friskyRadio DJs and fans come from. Indeed, the first friskyRadio Loves Argentina wasnt even called "friskyRadio Loves Argentina," for even we didnt know what a unique concept and show we were pioneering. At the time, there was simply nothing like it anywhere: not on Internet Radio, not in FM radio. Like so many things on friskyRadio - we were the first to bring the 'Country/Region' showcase concept to the world. Since then have visited well over 30 countries or regions, from Russia to Finland, from Holland to DENVER and everything in between.

Don't know Haroun Omar yet? Here ya' go.
Haroun Omar has been at the forefront of a powerful new movement that has risen from the decaying quality of today's pop-infused electronic scene; a movement that strives for forward-thinking, intelligent, dance music. Coming from Denver, an area rich with upcoming DJs, Haroun quickly separated himself from the DJ crowd with his patient mixing, smooth sequencing, and driving energy. Rather than a playing a "quick-fix" style of music, his performances are highlighted by deeper moments and eclectic journeys into memorable sounds. Haroun's talent was quickly discovered locally and he was asked to play his first performance at the legendary Beta Nightclub in Denver, Colorado. A fantastic welcoming set for Cosmic Gate saw Haroun gain both domestic and international interest for his unique mixing and diverse track selection. His DJ sets have since been in huge demand and have been featured on every major internet radio station, including an Artist of The Week spotlight on FriskyRadio. With an impressive array of solo productions and worldwide collaborations, Haroun has just begun to leave his footprint in this new wave of quality, underground dance music. With releases on Deepsessions Records, Mistique Digital, Distants Records and support from the legendary Markus Schulz, Gai Barone, and Airwave, Haroun is ready to set the scene ablaze with even bigger releases in 2012.

Don't know Josh Wetherington yet? Check below.
Newly transplanted after a decade in the Miami DJ scene, Josh Wetherington is quickly putting down roots here in the Denver dance music community. A wizard in both the studio and behind the decks, he has been a longtime staple in the Miami/South Florida DJ culture hosting The Positive Progression Sessions radio show for over eight years running on Owl Radio and was even featured in an episode of the Learning Channel's Miami Ink. Being recognized on an international level for both his production and DJ skills, he was chosen as the 2009 Ultra Music Festival DJ/Producer Spotlight Contest winner and has been on a success streak ever since. After releasing dozens of tracks on labels such as Nervine Records, Biatch Corp Recordings, Let's Beat Milo Records, and Modern Beat Digital, Josh finally released his first full length artist album entitled Dawn Breaks The Ego in July 2010 on longtime supporter Sheeva Records. Whether he's rocking the decks at Ultrafest in Miami or getting down and dirty underground and after hours at clubs like Asylum Honolulu, Josh always delivers a set straight from the heart, soul, and sweat that is true dance music. With uniquely reengineered edits and cleverly layered acapellas and melodies, his sets are as dance floor pleasing as they are unpredictable.
