Converting from FLAC to MP3

What is recommended for use these days? I haven't done any encoding in quite some time, and I used to use Razorlame with a VBR preset that worked well for me. Just looking to some of you for your advice on encoding a high quality MP3 so I don't take up so much space for mobile use. Thanks!

hey David, I actually just researched this myself for converting some humongous FLAC mixes to 320kbps MP3 for uploading to Google Music. I used the open source FlacSquisher (https://sourceforge.net/projects/flacsquisher/) which uses LAME for the MP3 encoding. The interface is really simple and there are more advanced options you can set. I'm not much of an audiophile, but it worked well enough for me.

WinAMP Pro has a very easy to use feature to convert everything in almost everything. I'm not sure if it's in the basic version.
