I remember a rooftop party for my friends birthday. It was next door to the Empire state building too, on fourth of july weekend I think. So the Empire State building was showing off its Red, White and Blue lighting. I forget the name of the club unfortunately.

I also was at this rooftop party staring over the Piers. There was a vending machine that dispensed swimming trunks so you could jump into the hot tub right next to the dance floor. I was so scared of falling into the pool by accident from intoxication, lol. The bathrooms also had a full window that you could just look right outside while taking a leak/dump/do lines, etc. Pretty odd, but a very unique club.

soundfactory had a hot tub, but i've never seemed interested in it, was always rolling when partied there..

i've been to a party with a roof-top floor, in NYC, i can't now recall when, why, or what... those were the days. dunno who was playing... but there were 4 floors, 4th being roof-top with open air and surreal view cause we were on the actual 4th floor in between two high-rises, so only 2 other sides had some aerial view,  but yeah, it was cool. i only remember that bottom floor was a hip-hop floor filled with the bunch of grinding sweaty black kids, and there we were, a dozen of russian immigrants, all in very early 20-s, who didn't know much and busted in on that half-fornication.... everyone inside looked at us for a while, stopped moving, even dj did some crazy scratch... and we ran the fuck out.. and we were about to leave that party, thinking, how the fuck we got ourselves into this crazy hiphop club... and only then we overheard some more music coming from upstairs.. and found 3 more floors of techno and progressive and trance and stayed and had a wonderful night.. =) was 2001 or 2002, one of the two..
