fucking atrocious...2 worthy tracks I liked...apart from that woeful.. I suggest ministry leaves it well alone, as they will only taint a great CD series if they continue on

Oh my. I got to find this and hear what you mean.
Is GU going down the drain then? The only religion I have in my bones was GU since 1995.
4 years ago I lost my collection to a meth-addicted burglar. Since then until recently I've been stolen away from (GU)church by someone who is now my ex-wife.
Time to go back to church, but if the sermon is as bad as you say, then I'd be slowly losing my faith.

There is however long gone Tony De Vit (R.I.P) featured in the beginning of the GU series. I can NEVER have enough of it...EVER !

Thanks for sharing.

The remaining fat lad became a high up exec in MOS. MOS owns GU and you could see when GU did nada for like 3 years. Remember they failed in trying to turn it into a music label if you remember Dave Seaman stated that only sales matter to them and as long as they are good, it will keep going.

I always found the actual GU series mixes lacklustre.  There might be good parts of any given mix, but also lots of bum tracks, even when the mixes were prepared by the top guys.  However, I really dig the Afterhours set.  I've listened to 1 and 5, and they seem more consistently good, and the tracks more interesting.  Put it this way: they are on permanent rotation with me.

Thanks for the offer of the complete set. I get them one by one again as I go about life.

I got hold of GU 40 and what can I say . . . (sigh) . . . not even worth wasting another moment thinking about it. CD2 almost almost sound if something is going to happen and then . . .nothing!

Both CDs are what sounds like prequel to an intro. Like thinking about thinking about saying something. It is JUST NOT RIGHT MAN.

This is the kind of music you play when all the stuff is finished, the vibe is gone and party is over and you want to get the people to leave.

This officially got me to lose my respect for GU. They had it, lost it and now it is gone forever.
