Electric Daisy Carnival 2013: Chicago (Line up + thoughts), page 1

to be happening May 23rd, 24th and 25th of 2013 near Chicago - at Chicagoland Speedway, which is located in Joliet, IL. to be fare, it's a 45 minute ride from Chicago on a car, mostly highways, but still.. it's a suburb.. i must agree, this is better than doing it in the crammed shore line, away from the city and its overpriced parking and summer heat and basically away from the city.. living in chicago, i am really thinking of taking that trip, every day for the 3 days of the festival.. and mostly i don't want to see the djs or hear them play, i am into other kind of music, but look at them i've listed below in plain text - they represent like half of the DJ MAG top 100 DJs of 2012, seriously... couldn't be cheesier.. anyways, there are still names i'd check out, like A&B, Michael Meyer, well.. i must admit, quite a few heroes of D'n'B, so that could be worth it.. but not a single progressive house DJ?? that's BS, i must tell you.. i thought of going there for my side projects, so as to take a bunch of exclusive photos and videos and post them in places over long time periods.. milking them.. but seriously, even this great collection of world's cheesiest DJs so good and popular in people's masses, i am kinda thinking now toward not going... crappy fest..

Slash, looks like a throw away festival to me, I think nowadays (even in Europe) a festival has to be somewhat attractive to attend in more ways than just who is playing, purely based on DJ's playing its not enough... the calibre here is considerablely weak and I am sure it would/will attract the wrong type of people...however for those who are ignorant to good music this will be more than suitable... For me it has to have an edge... the only one I can think of is Burning Man in the "dessert :D" ...apart from that I would and do avoid most festivals, prefer to have quality instead of quality!!

However mate for you, being so close, more than worth going to the event to see how it pans out, personally I would avoid, but everyone is different I suppose.

I personally think s TM inspired festival albeit very small would be a winning idea show casing the TM-radio talents, but I fear that sadly is a massive pipe dream as people in general in the US seem to  be somewhat blinded by commmercialism which is fine if you like that and in this case is very attractive to all the representing village idoiots!!

Personallly I would love to go to burning Man in the US, apart from that there aren't too many globally I would give lip service to... anyway just my opionion anyway!!!

Enjoy electric carnival if you do go mate
