as the years went by, tribalmixes tended to gather more of a progressive house and trance crowds. but there's no denying that dubstep has become a very prominent music genre, and we should get more dubstep lovers and dubstep shows around here!

and you can help that alot! =)

The DJ Hatcha show (with Crazy D) on Kiss 100 is excellent - REAL Dubstep and Hatcha MC's every show I've heard so far

i was thought MAH was too involved to make dubstep the new 'punk' subculture and her new john peel so maybe i was a bit prejudiced right in the begining

Having listened to house music since 87 ish and listened to alsorts of genres/styles,  I can say it is another genre I don't like, having heard, seen it and tried to listened to, its not for me. The closest I have come to is this, is orginally a Dubstep track which sounds awful, but with the Coe sheen on it, sounds alot better...

For me - it's sort of split into two styles (within dubstep). The sort of stuff I hear on Kiss100 (Hatcha) and the sort of new-wave over the top use of wobble bass and electro blips that you get on say, BBC 1 Xtra with Mistajam.

I prefer the older, more mature style of dub. Don't care for the bro-step blippy wobbly bass stuff.

I've always like DnB, breaks, garage and the like - and dubstep reminds me of all these sorts of things.

My main love is techno/house/goa-psy-trance/proggy stuff though.

I think it's up to sites like this though to find the quality dubstep and promte it though.

I mean, if a person has only ever heard 'Too Unlimited' they would think Techno was shite. If they have only ever heard 'Robert Miles' they would think all Trance always was dull. And if they have ever heard David Guetta? Well they would vomit on any House music before you could even press play!

True words Rich, however I'm a stubborn yorkshireman and I know what I like... for me, way to much great music out there...Dubstep for me is not even waiting at the bus stop to listened to!!!

i've liked dnb and breaks as well and now i see lot of my beloved doing dubstep or at least add some to the good breaks/dnb/electro they used to paly for ages, sadly. krafty kuts for example, bassbin twins, chase & status, plump djs. shame
