FeralCode Records, the digital only underground label teamed up with friskyRadio, the premiere underground internet radio station and ResonantVibes, the quality digital download store to organize their first contest together, the Walking in the Dark remix contest.

The goal of the contest is to remix dPen and Marcelo Vasami - Walking in the dark, the melodic progressive house track which was released recently by FeralCode Records exclusively on ResonantVibes (click here to listen to the original mix).

The artists, dPen and Marcelo Vasami are two uprising artists from Greece and Argentina. Their tracks have been signed by various labels and charted by several worldwide djs to date.

:: THE RULES...

  • Download the sample pack where you can find samples and important informations about the original mix (click here to download)
  • Create your remix. Be creative, unique. You can use the original samples or your own (as long as they are copyright free) or anything you wish
  • Certain restrictions apply: your remix must be around 7 - 9 minutes long and the genre must be deep progressive house
  • When you are ready, send your remix with your contact details based on the submission instructions below
  • Don't share your remix! Doing so will result in your remix being disqualified, as the winning remix will be officially released. After the winner and runner-up has been announced, feel free to do so.
  • Artists on FeralCode House Music and FeralCode Records are excluded from this contest (fair play).

    :: The prizes

  • The winning remix will be released on FeralCode Records' forthcoming progressive house digital compilation. The winning producer will get two sample collections of their choice and $50 amount of store credit for the ResonantVibes store, a ResonantVibes T-Shirt and sticker. The winner will also be invited by friskyRadio to showcase their talents by becoming the featured 'Artist of the week' and will get a frisky t-shirt and stickers.".
  • The runner-up remixer will get promotional release by FeralCode Records' on ResonantVibes together with Thomas Penton's Essential Drums and Percussion, Vol. 1 sample collection and $20 of store credit for the ResonantVibes store, a ResonantVibes T-Shirt and sticker. The runner-up remixer will also get a frisky t-shirt and stickers.

    :: Submission

  • When you are ready, please upload your remix in 192 kbs mp3 and send your link with your name and contact details to contest@feralcode.com. You can use your webserver, yousendit.com, or any similar site for your upload.

    :: The winners

  • One ultimate winner and one runner up remixer will be announced in our newsletter and on the site on the week commencing 21 August 2006. The winners will be picked up by dPen and FeralCode.
  • In the name of dPen, Marcelo Vasami, friskyRadio and ResonantVibes I wish you good luck and creative production days. Based on the previous remix contest we organized with Proton Radio (click here to check the contest), it is certain the winners will have the option for further releases and remix duties at FeralCode Records.
