first, sorry to catch ya this later. no time for nothing these days. i got some virus and i've been down for 3-4 days, all day in bed. well - thanks for CJ for the brilliant idea. i know for his exp running an internet radio, and i'm sure he'll be just fine as a manager.

featured dj mixes, promos from unknown dj's, new talents, best torrents 2000-2006 - different styles - for the rest of the program. many things in my head... scheduling is quite important too... for now, i have the time and willing to help with everyting i can. and everything i have in my mind.

don't miss CJ, he's one of a kind here.

not a bad idea :) the only thing is, you can make a shoutcast source in two ways: through a player (like winamp+plugin) and through ftp.

in the first case, the source has to be online continuosly, and needs to have the neccessarry bandwidth (no torrenting while being a source :))
in the second case, the server plays music from a previously selected directory (where you've uploaded the mixes through ftp, for ex.)

anyway, imho we need to have uploaded a lot of mixes before starting, if we want to make it 24/7.

well the shoutcast works great and all but there is another program that I am looking into that will allow smoother streaming of mixes.  as for having the station running 24/7 we will select dj's on the site to make long mixes, and then the staff could pre-select a schedule for each week, other week, or month.  I think it will work out great.  Also we have statistics on mixes about what people like, so I think that will help out in the schedule selection as well...

https://tribalmixes.org @@ 209.160.64.12 is now hosting forums dedicated to tribalmixes radio.

dns settings were just updated so it might take a little time to update world-wide, so /windws/system32/drivers/etc/hosts or somewhere there you can add it up, i think ip work won't work.. anyways, please try to keep your usernames from here over there!

Lover4o, i've changed there your access, now you're one of the 'radio staff'.

2all: to be one of the staff there, you must request it, send a pm through here or there asking for status upgrade. this website tribalmixes.com and those forums have nothing in common technically, that is why i'm asking to keep same names.

also you can post in those forums without registration. ip is logged, so no bsit. :)

To CraigJames & Slash. I like your ideas guys, a tribalmixes radio station would be good for the community and to get budding aspiring DJ's like myself out there. Have you considered perhaps doing a TribalMixes show on an already established station, this way you get to branch out to people that perhaps don't know of tribalmixes. I must admit I only stumbled across this by accident but I'm here for life now, and also seeing as this is such a global site, perhaps a few club nights to spread the word. Keep up the good work guys.
