It's NOT Techno, page 1

I just read an article about Eurobeat (runs 140-160 bpm) and decided to seek out a video. This is what I found:

#t=90

I understand that it originated in the late 1980s in Italy but is only played in Japan, and has an official dance called Para Para. Fans will curse at you if you call it Techno!!

Seriously??! How is this "enjoyable" to listen to? I like to move, but this guy looks like he's either cheerleading or trying to land a plane.

I understand that everyone is different and has different tastes (or else our world would suck even worse), but I could NEVER "get into" this music.

I need something I can FEEL that makes me move, or something that takes my mind to another place (depending on my mood). This sped-up garbage (for lack of a better word) just gave me a headache. I don't like speed-metal either (if you care?).  :punk:

Is this genre still popular anywhere? Did it ever make it to the states besides in video games or anime movies?

Opinions anyone?
Luver of DEEP, soul-pounding BEATS!!

Get Your Beats and Pound Me Deeper, Harder, Faster . . .
. . . Ohhh Yeah, that's the way I like it!!

Sounds like 90s commercial-charts-"techno" to me.
But I really laughed, seeing what he was doing with his arms in the beginning. You should not do this while dancing here in austria or germany.
Melodic, deep, sing-a-long. :-)

Lol! Japanese love this kind of music, I think it is not that bad but I would not listen to it all day :P
