A Trance died around 2000 for me, I was into tribal by then

At this time the real sound comes trus with Tribalero series from Stereo Productions [Spain]
These were some of the best times for me when tribal sound comes to light

HOUSE

1.Tech House (not the minimal-sounding one, but the percussive one with the Techno Beatz and the House Groove - It's banging, percussive, grooving, dark). I think this was the best for dance floor, it's got a lot of rhythms going on multiple layers...

2.Deep House (sensual music. lush sound and sexy vocals. Sometimes sounds classy/upscale kind of stuff.) Good for sober moments of the week (lol)

3.Tribal (murky and dark, percussion DRUMS along with the BEAT rhythms. Goes well with progressive "atmosphere" and heavier beats from Techno) It felt like everyone were participating in a ritual dance.. underground

4.House - (funky) good for goofing around while high, that's all i can remember lol :Boozer:

Idk, I think I really don't care for dj mixing much. .. For me it's 100% the tracks, not the mixing. I like the work of the composer, not the dj so much.. If it's a shitty track, no matter how you mix it, it will be shitty... :yay:

Well, foe me my favorite genres are (no particular order):

1 - Techno (my all-time favorite :3. All hail to Mauro Picotto's stuff like Verdi.)
2 - Trance (yea, for me Trance is still alive and kicking. Just find something that fits your taste and don't touch Armin stuff, it's toxic and cancerous af. At least I fucking love almost everything released till 2008)
3 - House (nobody could stand against some good slice of good house =) )
4 - Hardcore
5 - Drum'n'Bass
The last ones are my bff at gym=)

it all depends on the type of "techno"...minimal techno?  tech house?  =D

Dark Prog mostly, but now - Techno
Prog. House is dead, nothing impressive since the dark "era" passed away, just a bunch of noise and shitty deep tracks.
Trance... im glad i quit listening back in 2009

I like dance music. Though that's a huge range of musical styles, most of the tracks I listen to have usually been produced electronically (deep-house, Tech-house, Progressive, Tribal , ambient , glitchy sounds. Anything that carries are good feeling of movement and just doesn't repeat for 6 minutes)

I particularly like tracks that have no lyrics ( lyrics based on evidence are cool - rare in EDM as many people seem to want no evidenced based narratives as it's simple to just believe rather than understand :rip:  ).

The kind of music I'd really like to hear is a live fusion between percussive instruments and synthesisers, as then you have the more fluid rhythms that good percussionists can play and the innovative sound of synthesisers. And of course this would be in a community of people whom were there to share their love of the music and dance :lovers: with one another.

Maybe someday if the species (in general)  ever get over their self inflicted problems and learn to stop beating one another over the head :wall: (physically/psychologically)
Music is physics brought to life with biology.
