You need to seed as much as you can.

If you're having difficulty with this start, if you don't do already, to use the daily prize (the moving heart next to your nickname) to get a lot of point and trade them for upload credit. This should fix your ratio.

Paul, your ratio will improve if you seed the files which you have downloaded. I note you were only sharing 1 of the 85 files you have downloaded. Ideally I would suggest seeding each file to ratio of at least 1mb downloaded to 1mb uploaded. On some files this won't be as easy to achieve, this the importance of seeding multiple files to help you get to your minimum ratio requirement. Two other ways include gaining points from lottery and interaction on tribalmixes.com and lastly donating will give you a quick fix to help your ratio.

It will take a while with seeding so just keep those files up until you start to get credits.  Best choice in the short term is to keep doing the daily points grab and work on getting enough points to spend on download debits.

I have 60 torrents open and seeding. but my share ratio stays the same. on newtorren 3.4.1 only the file from filelist are uploading. /the files from tribalmixes don't upload. can you tell why ?

Mihnea, check your user profile, you may note that your files are all not connectable. To successfully to be able to seed you do need to be connectable. There are some forum topics which will guide you through getting connectable.

thanks. it seems that after stopping the firewall it works and the seeds are conectable. thanks again moocowdan. Happy Easter !

Ratio-free music is a great way to get your ratio up, provided you stay connected and keep seeding. Stop by daily and play the lotto, gain points, trade for upload credit.
The admin team here has gone out of their way to make it easy for you to up your ratio. Good luck!

When I first started out I didn't keep an eye on my ratio and got into trouble.

The way I resolved it was to make a donation and then once I was back on track I make sure to keep my ratio up.

Definitely seed as much as possible (especially ratio-free torrents), and play the daily lottery every day and use any points you get on download debit.

I am against seeding for as long as much as possible.Except it is a torrent with only very few seeds.
Doesn't it help other users with low ratios if you quit seeding after reaching a certain ratio per torrent? Or maybe even users with low up-bandwidth?
I sometimes got the feeling, the high-bandwidth-connections are in advantage of reaching high ratios very fast. Don't know how torrent really does this, but wouldn't a fast connection be favored as downloading-peer?
Melodic, deep, sing-a-long. :-)

I said seed as much as possible. Not as long as possible.

Yes, you should use some discretion. Or not. Up to you. I used to seed everything for a couple of months and then just decided to only seed recent stuff (especially my own uploads).

Yes, it seems to be that way. Also whoever seeds first seems to get higher priority.

Was not ment as an offence to you.  :-)
Sometimes I just get a little nervous looking at my torrents ratio crawling upwards very very slowly as though there are quite a few peers. At least I wanna reach ratio=1.
Was much easier years before since time was on my side. Up for 24/7 but low speed. Seems there are much more 24/7 people these days.  :-)
