about DJ Dark G...



Dj DarkG aka Mert Tankan was born in 1982, he started to music career at the school parties during the mid 90's , played own debut set at small village club (Dernek ) in the city of Istanbul. Playin regularly @ school parties, small events, clubs, & home parties. Dj DarkG has a passion that years for hip-hop/r&b blended and mostly house music.

In 2000 when he go to city of Los Angeles his life all over change cause clubs & events play only house music. He changes his style to that year progressive house with listening best djs at the time John Digweed, Sasha, Matthew Dekay , Anthony Pappa etc. In 2002 he played @ Village Club Event, where he meet wit Dj Mino, starting up 'the big step' to the progressive house records kingom and amazing studio.

In 2003 he's become a resident Dj of Radio Xcubix L.A. ( Local ) station. Dj DarkG combines the elegance of progressive house sometimes dark sometimes pumpin soulful vocals with the deepness of house music. Dj DarkG performed at many music festivals and parties where he had the chance to play world famous names of the proggresive house scene.

By now Dj DarkG has a good skill to mixin' smooth music style and crowd jumper all time when he @the decks :)
